Sales Assistant – Lotto & Retail
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while promoting and selling a range of products, including lotto tickets. You will be an important part of our daily operations and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with enquiries and purchases in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate the point-of-sale system for retail items, services, and lotto ticket sales
- Provide accurate information on lotto games, prizes, and promotions
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised store environment
- Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
- Handle cash transactions and balance registers accurately
Requirements
- Previous experience in a TattsLotto outlet or kiosk is essential
- Experience in retail sales, newsagency, or similar environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and confidence handling cash
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Professional, helpful, polite, and attentive to all customers
- Punctual, reliable, and flexible
- Availability to work weekdays and weekends
Benefits
- Ongoing casual position
- 2–4 shifts per week (4–5 hours per shift) (depending on operational requirements), Monday to Saturday, on a rotating roster
