People and Culture Coordinator

The National Trust of Western Australia is seeking an experienced and capable People & Culture Coordinator to lead our people, culture, wellbeing and workplace safety initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO, senior leaders, managers and volunteers to help shape organisational culture, workforce capability and employee wellbeing across one of Western Australia's most respected community organisations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director Finance and Business Services, with a direct advisory relationship to the CEO on sensitive matters, you will be responsible for developing and implementing contemporary people and culture frameworks, Human Resource initiatives and Work Health and Safety systems across the organisation. You will work collaboratively with managers, staff and volunteers to ensure the National Trust's people practices are aligned with legislation, organisational priorities and contemporary best practice. Your work will include:

• Developing and reviewing HR policies, procedures and workforce initiatives.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
• Coordinating employee wellbeing programs and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) arrangements.
• Providing advice on employee relations, performance, workplace conduct and people management matters.
• Leading organisational development and workforce capability initiatives.
• Supporting managers to build effective teams and positive workplace practices.
• Coordinating workplace health and safety programs and compliance activities.
• Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments relevant to HR and WHS.
• Preparing reports, policies, briefings and workforce information to support effective organisational decision-making.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is professional, pragmatic, approachable and committed to building a positive workplace culture. You may be:

• An experienced HR Advisor, People & Culture Advisor or HR Business Partner looking for a broader role.
• Working in a human resources, organisational development or workplace wellbeing position and seeking greater autonomy.
• Looking for the flexibility of a part-time role without sacrificing meaningful and strategic work.
• Interested in applying your skills in a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation with a strong community focus.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in human resources, employee relations, organisational development or workplace wellbeing
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and workplace health and safety requirements - ideally in a public sector context.
• Strong communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters.
• Well-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Development, Workplace Relations or a related discipline.

• This is a permanent 0.6 FTE position.

• National Police Clearance and current’s driver’s licence are required prior to appointment.
