CARPENTERS / APPRENTICE CARPENTERS WANTED
The Trustee for DONE RITE CARPENTRY GROUP UNIT TRUST – Melbourne VIC
Carpenter / Apprentice Carpenter – High-End Residential + Commercial (Melbourne)
We’re a growing carpentry business based in Melbourne, and we’re looking for experienced Carpenters and Apprentice Carpenters to join our crew for ongoing, long-term work.
Our projects range from high-end domestic builds through to semi-commercial and commercial/EBA fit-off works across Melbourne. If you take pride in clean work, good structure, and working with a solid team — we want to hear from you.
What we do
You’ll be working across a variety of sites and scopes, including:
High-End Domestic Carpentry
- Timber framing (ground + upper levels)
- Lock-up carpentry
- Fix carpentry (skirtings, architraves, doors, hardware)
- Cladding and external works
- Renovations and extensions
- High-detail finishing on premium homes
Commercial / EBA Works (Fit-Off)
- Fix and fit-off carpentry
- General commercial carpentry works
- Fast-paced site work with high standards
The Role
We’re hiring on-site carpenters who can work as part of a team, follow direction, and deliver quality work consistently.
Carpenters will be expected to:
- Read and interpret plans and set-outs
- Work independently and within a team environment
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and presentation
- Liaise with site supervisors and other trades professionally
- Maintain tools, site cleanliness, and safe work practices
Apprentices will be expected to:
- Show up on time, ready to work
- Be eager to learn all aspects of carpentry (frame to finish)
- Take direction well and improve quickly
- Respect the site, the team, and the client’s property
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
What we’re looking for
Carpenter requirements
- Qualified Carpenter or strong experience in carpentry
- Ability to run tasks, problem solve, and keep momentum on site
- Good knowledge of framing + fix/fit-off
- Strong attention to detail (high-end finish standard)
Apprentice requirements
- Currently undertaking apprenticeship or looking to start (right candidate)
- Genuine interest in carpentry and construction
- Reliable transport preferred
- Willingness to learn and work hard
Must have
- White Card
- Basic hand tools (carpenters)
- Strong understanding of site safety
- Ability to work across multiple Melbourne locations
- Good communication and a team-first attitude
