Join the team as a Senior Business Support Officer in Rockhampton. Lead and support customer service operations, coordinate business support functions, oversee resources and local processes and supervise a small team delivering services to internal and external customers.

Our Land division are the stewards for 60% of the land in Queensland and we deliver a variety of land and property services across Queensland, including land and asset valuations; state land administration and on ground management surveying services; native title claims and compensation; Indigenous land services; vegetation management; place names; and government land acquisitions. As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will lead the delivery of professional business support services within the Rockhampton Business Centre. Working within Customer Services, Priority Initiatives and Customer Connect, you will supervise a small team, coordinate operational support activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support customer-focused service delivery.

Your day will involve leading customer service operations, coordinating staff rostering and development, implementing local processes, managing business registers and reports, overseeing assets, fleet and accommodation resources, supporting procurement activities and ensuring services are delivered in line with departmental standards. You will also provide guidance to staff and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Success in this role comes from strong communication skills, sound judgement, the ability to manage competing priorities and a commitment to leading people and delivering quality outcomes. You will build capability in your team while maintaining effective business operations and customer service excellence.
