Accounts Officer

A well-established creative and communications business is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join a collaborative Finance & Operations team, on a part-time basis (24-30 hours per week).

This role can be concentrated across 3 or 4 days; or worked over 5 shorter days which may be ideal for parents looking for work around school hours.

This is a permanent position that will require full onsite office presence in Richmond for the first 6 months. After which, you will be able to enjoy a split of 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home.

The Role

• Processing supplier invoices and payments
• Managing the finance inbox and responding to queries
• Preparing and issuing client invoices
• Following up outstanding debtor accounts
• Supplier and client account reconciliations
• General finance administration and data entry
• Relationship management with suppliers and internal staff members on Finance matters.

The Person

The ideal candidate will join bringing to the table the following skills and prior experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant position
• Experience working in an agency (of any kind) or in creative industries would be viewed favourably
• Approachable and personable, with a customer / client-oriented manner, and an ability to build relationships and work in collaboration with others
• A proactive and organised approach with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
• Experience using AccountAbility would be a plus but not expected
• To note: This role could expand to include wider responsibilities around payroll, reporting, and process improvement should a candidate have particular interest, experience or aptitude for any of the above areas.
