Randhawa's Indian Cuisine is seeking a dedicated and talented Full-Time Chef to join our culinary team at Shop 14/318 Logan River Road, Waterford QLD 4211.
As a prominent name in the hospitality industry, we specialise in crafting authentic Indian dishes that delight our customers and keep them coming back for more.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef who excels in delivering authentic Indian cuisine. If you thrive in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, have an eye for detail, and are committed to creating high-quality meals, we would love to have you on our team.
Ensure the seasoning and garnishing of food is done appropriately and the correct portions are served to customers.
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Prepare, season, and cook food as per à la carte menu, meeting dietary requirements where required.
Demonstrate different styles and methods of cooking to kitchen staff.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene in accordance with regulatory standards.
Implement proper freezing and preservation techniques without compromising quality.
Provide support and assistance across all areas of the kitchen.
Develop new seasonal menus and update existing menus, including pricing adjustments while maintaining cost efficiency.
Resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure occupational health and safety standards are always maintained and followed.
Manage stock including ordering, rotation, and wastage control.
Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate daily activities.
Selecting and training staff.
Maintain consistent quality in food preparation and presentation.
Educate kitchen staff on hygiene regulations and enforce strict sanitary practices.
Certificate IV qualification (required)
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude
Well-presented and motivated
Ability to work unsupervised under pressure
