What an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our dynamic team on a part-time fixed term basis (35 hours per week, 0.9EFT) (parental leave cover), overseeing quality Dietetic care of our patients.

\n

This opportunity will be available from 7th December 2026 to 5th December 2027

\n

You will also be an integral part of the Monash Health, Nutrition and Dietetics Senior Dietitian team. This role will see you based at the Kingston Centre (Rehabilitation and Aged Care) campus and provide expertise and clinical leadership across all sites within the department.

\n

A Day in the Life

\n

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient centred Dietitian to work in a Grade 3 capacity. What an exciting opportunity to expand your clinical and leadership skills in this role.

\n

You will work collaboratively with a fantastic group of people who are inclusive, passionate and share a vision to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families.

\n

In this respected, Senior Dietitian position, you will be an inspiring leader that utilises your expert clinical knowledge to:

• Champion the Dietetic profile and importance of nutrition care across Kingston Centre.
\n
• Establish strong relationships with Senior Medical, Nursing and Allied Health to optimise nutrition care for our patients
\n
• Empower the team to drive research and impactful quality improvement projects
\n
• Mentor Grade 1 and 2 Dietitians working in the department to achieve equitable patient-centred care
\n
• Collaborate with the leadership team to foster a positive team culture that thrives on growth, learning and accountability
\n

\n

This role is open to an existing Gr 3 looking to add to their experience or to an aspiring Grade 2 Dietitian with the relevant experience to transition to Grade 3. We will offer you guidance and support in your transition.

\n

What you bring

\n

\n
• Preferably you have at least 7 year of experience in providing clinical care to acute +/or subacute inpatients.
\n
• You have demonstrated experienced in the delivery of clinical education and clinical supervision
\n
• You enjoy developing others, are highly organised and a clear and warm communicator.
\n
• You lead by example, thrive in a fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based dietetic interventions
\n
• You have proven leadership experience that fosters a culture teamwork and continuous learning and development
\n

What you need

\n

\n
• A Dietitians Australia accredited dietetics degree or hold a Dietitians Australia mutually recognised dietetics degree from New Zealand or have passed the Dietitians Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) process.
\n
• Hold or are working towards post graduate qualifications
\n
• Eligibility for full membership as a Dietitian of Dietitians Australia and Accredited Practising APD membership
\n
• Current Drivers Licence

• Australian working rights

• current Employee Working with Children Check
