Production Job Coach

Job Description

We currently have an excitingfull-timeopportunityin our SupportedEmploymentDivision for a Job Coach. The successfulperson will be based in our modern 9000 square metre warehouse and production facility located in Keysborough. A key function of the role will be working alongside people with a disability, engaging in work activities, providing support and helping them improve their skills and knowledge, while building their independence. You will be working with individual supported employees as well as small groups to help them achieve their goals and reach commercial targets.

What you'll need to succeed

\n

Work experience in warehousing & production

\n

Ideally experience and knowledge within the disability sector, however we will consider those with experience from other voluntary organisations, including sporting clubs, youth groups, scouting etc

\n

An ability to provide support and care with active support skills and the right attitude to participate in disability training on the job

\n

A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience!

\n

Ability to provide a small amount of personal care when required

\n

Ability to advocate and provide person-centered support that exceeds standards and is delivered within the available resources – be creative!

\n

Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen

\n

Strong communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders

\n

Strong administration skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation

\n

A professional approach to work

\n
