The Role…

Due to the rapid growth of our brand in ANZ, we have created the role of Merchandise Manager-Performance.The role hasfull end-to-end accountability for the Performance Footwear Category (Trail Running, Road Running, Gravel Running and Outdoor), ensuring that product ranges are precise, commercially successful, and strategically aligned across both B2B and D2C channels. This role is central to translating the Brand’s Running Big Bet and Merchandising vision into market-ready assortments that resonate with consumers, drive profitable growth, and strengthen the brand’s premium positioning.Day to day responsibilities include;

• Define and implement thelong termcategory strategy by sub-sport and channel, ensuring alignment with global brand direction and local market needs

• Own the end-to-end category strategy development for all Key Accounts and D2C channels, including full responsibility for assortment planning

• Establish clear range architecture that balances innovation, consumer demand, and commercial viability

• Lead the full seasonal planning process, including financial planning, range selection, pricing, volume forecasting, and lifecycle management

• Ensure assortments areoptimizedfor profitability, consumer relevance, and channel differentiation, driving cross-functional alignment on seasonal launch calendars for maximum impact in-market

• End-to-end ownership of GTM processes for the category

• Owns the translation of consumer, competitor, and marketplace insights into actionable category strategies

• Act as the key liaison between global Merchandising teams and local sales/marketing functions,facilitatingmarket feedback, and sell through insights

• Own Category specific inputs to review demand & supply KPIs in-line with category commercial objectives

• Develop advanced reporting dashboards and tools tomonitorassortment efficiency, sell-through, and profitability

Skills and Experience…

A range of skills are necessary including:

• Demonstratedexperience in Category Merchandising/Management withinPerformance Footwear, Running, Outdoor or broader Sporting Goods industries.

• Commercial & Financial planning capabilities within an Omni-channel business model. Including, Gross Sales, Net Sales, Gross Margin & planning/forecasting experience with ability to translate into actionable merchandise strategies

• Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership – experience in leading an end-to-end GTM process.

• Merchandise Manager / Category Management experience essential – Range/Assortment planning, Distribution, pricing etc.

• Highly developed knowledge and understanding of Market, Consumer and Competitor insights within the ANZ Sporting Goods market, Outdoor and Sports Lifestyle Segment experience are preferable
