About the role
We are seeking three exceptional Criminal Defence Lawyers to join our expanding team, with positions available in Townsville, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This is a full-time opportunity for experienced legal professionals who are passionate about criminal defence work and dedicated to protecting the rights of our clients. As a Criminal Defence Lawyer, you will play a vital role in providing strategic legal representation across a diverse range of criminal matters. These positions offer the opportunity to work on challenging and significant cases whilst being part of a respected and growing law firm.
What we’re looking for
- A current practising certificate as a lawyer in Queensland with the ability to conduct criminal defence work
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal defence matters across a range of offence types and court levels
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate complex legal arguments clearly and persuasively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds especially those receiving legal aid funding
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases at once.
- Preferred: Experience working in a busy law firm environment
- Must be able to work from home after Court.
- Must also be able to travel to remote and regional courthouses.
