KDT Australia (formerly Leda Machinery Australia) is a leading national supplier of woodworking and panel processing machinery.

Established in 1992, we have grown into a well-established national business with showroom and warehouse facilities in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

We supply a range of KDT machinery including CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws and automated panel processing equipment, backed by our national sales and service team.

Our business has been built on long-term customer relationships, quality machinery and reliable after-sales support.

The Position

We are looking for a driven and tech savvy Service Technician to join our growing team opportunities available in Queensland

This is a hands-on role working directly with our customers to install, service, maintain and troubleshoot woodworking machinery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Examining and testing machines, equipment and control systems to diagnose faults.

Adjusting, repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machine, equipment and instruments

Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment

Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions

Installing electronic equipment and control systems

Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principals in commissioning and maintaining control systems

Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented

Provide an excellent example of customer service on all levels for the company

Manage workflow of all service requests using Microsoft Dynamics

Identifying customer requirements and passing potential sales opportunities to our sales team

Essential Skills & Qualifications Required

Applicants will need to possess at least two years recent experience in Electrical or Mechatronics background with trade/diploma qualifications. A minimum of 2 years experience on panel-based woodworking machinery would be highly valued.

Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of electrical/mechanical systems

Current Drivers Licence

Strong organizational skills

Exceptional verbal/written communication and customer service skills

Professional presentation

Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides.

Permanent full-time position in a growing business

Base Salary of between $90,000 and $120,000 commensurate with skills and experience
