Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a committed and experienced Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary Mental Health and Specialised Services team based in the beautiful Fraser Coast region. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and/or youth clients experiencing complex mental health challenges. You will also provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and work collaboratively with allied health and nursing professionals across community and inpatient settings. Your opportunity:

\n

\n
• Provide expert Psychiatric care and advice to patients attending Mental Health Services (out-patient, in-patient and hospital-in-the-home) in Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
\n
• Provide professional leadership in the area of Mental Health within a multidisciplinary environment.
\n
• Provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care team members
\n

Opportunity for Private Practice:

\n

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:

\n

\n
• Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
\n
• Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
\n
• Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.

We are offering a competitive remuneration package value up to $564,548 p.a., including salary between $193,191 - $282,912 p.a., generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
