Cloud Systems Support Officer

Atarix is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cloud Systems Support Officer to join our Sydney CBD team. This role is ideally suited to a Level 2 Engineer with experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments for business customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, administering, maintaining, and automating Microsoft cloud environments while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with senior engineers, project teams, and clients to resolve technical issues, implement improvements, and contribute to automation initiatives using Rewst.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments across multiple customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents relating to: Microsoft 365Exchange OnlineMicrosoft TeamsSharePoint OnlineOneDrive for BusinessEntra ID (Azure Active Directory)Microsoft IntuneAzure infrastructure services
• Administer user identities, security groups, licensing, and access management within Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Support Azure virtual machines, networking, storage, backup, and monitoring services.
• Investigate and resolve issues relating to authentication, conditional access, device management, and cloud security.
• Create, maintain, and improve automation workflows using Rewst and PowerShell.
• Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle management processes through automation.
• Document technical procedures, knowledge base articles, and support activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers while maintaining ownership of customer communications.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Stay current with Microsoft cloud technologies, security best practices, and automation platforms.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

Mandatory

• Rewst Automation Platform Certification (Rewst 200)
• Minimum 2 years' experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments in a Managed Services or IT Support environment.
• Experience working in a Level 2 Service Desk, Cloud Support, or Systems Administrator role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Skills

Demonstrated experience supporting and administering:

• Microsoft 365
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• OneDrive for Business
• Conditional Access Policies
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate (SC-300 or SC-200)
• Experience with RMM and PSA platforms.
• Experience in managed services environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite.
• Experience with automation platforms and workflow orchestration tools beyond Rewst.

This role is best suited to someone who already has hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, and is passionate about automation. You are comfortable working independently, engaging directly with customers, and continually improving processes through tools such as Rewst and PowerShell. You are looking to grow into a senior cloud engineering role over time while building deep expertise across Microsoft's cloud ecosystem.
