Task & responsibilities Plan, develop and implement educational programs and learning experiences in indoor and outdoor environments that support children's development and school readiness. Provide a variety of play-based learning activities designed to develop motor skills, social interaction, confidence, creativity and independence.

Promote language and communication development through storytelling, music, role play, rhymes, conversations and group learning experiences. Observe, assess and document children's development, learning outcomes and wellbeing, identifying any additional support needs where appropriate. Monitor children's health, safety, nutrition and welfare, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Maintain developmental records and prepare learning observations and progress reports. Build positive relationships with families and discuss children's progress, achievements and developmental goals. Attend parent meetings, team meetings, professional development activities and centre events.

Participate in family engagement and community-based programs that support children's learning and wellbeing. Mentor and support student educators and trainees undertaking practical placements.

Qualification & experience

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification) or Higher qualification in related field. Current Teacher Registration Current

Working with Children Check. Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS). Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated experience working with children aged 0-6 years in an early learning environment.
