Are you a licensed Type A gas fitter looking for consistent inspection work and the opportunity to grow your own business?

We are seeking experienced subcontractors to carry out residential rental gas safety checks across Melbourne. This opportunity suits a motivated gas fitter who wants to manage their own workload, earn per inspection and take on the repair work they identify.

What’s on offer

$100 per completed gas safety inspection
\n
Potential to complete 8–10 inspections per day, depending on scheduling and location
\n
$800–$1,000 per day in inspection revenue at that volume
\n
Opportunity to quote and complete the repairs you identify
\n
Keep the agreed repair revenue from your own repair work
\n
Consistent work opportunities through an established inspection business

Flexibility to manage your own workload and grow your own operation

Opportunity to use your own apprentice or additional subcontractors, subject to approval and licensing requirements

The opportunity

You’ll be responsible for completing gas safety checks, identifying defects, preparing repair quotes and carrying out approved repairs. We provide the inspection opportunities and administrative support, allowing you to focus on the technical work and building your business.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a standard day rate. The more inspections you complete and the more repair work you successfully quote and deliver, the greater your earning potential.

What you’ll need
\n
Current Victorian gas fitting registration/licence with the appropriate Type A appliance servicing authorisation
\n
Relevant experience completing residential gas safety checks and repairs
\n
Own vehicle and tools
\n
Appropriate insurances
\n
Ability to complete accurate reports and provide professional customer service
\n
Strong attention to safety, compliance and workmanship
\n
ABN and ability to invoice as a subcontractor
\n
