St Peter's Primary School, Caboolture, is seeking a School Officer (Cultural Liaison - Identified) to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, strengthen community connections, and promote culturally inclusive learning and wellbeing across the school. This part-time role is 11 hours per week across 2 days (5.5 hours per day), with flexibility on the days worked.

Provide essential financial support across various tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school.

• Contract date: Commencing January 2027
• Work hours: 11 hours per week (2 Days per week)
• Status: Term Time Fixed Term (Until end of 2027 School Year)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Providing a wide range of support to the school leadership team to effectively manage financial matters
• Using various software applications to effectively process and maintain accurate financial records, draft, update and format standard documents and input financial data
• Responding to enquiries ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in a timely manner, resolving concerns or issues and recording correspondence according to processes and procedures
• Assisting in the development, maintenance and operations of systems and databases including recommending improvements
• Assisting with the coordination of staff and student training.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Experience in supporting senior leadership in managing financial matters
• Proficiency in using software to process and maintain accurate financial records and documents
• Strong communication skills to handle enquiries and resolve issues promptly
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and improving systems and databases
• Ability to assist in coordinating staff and student training
• Certificate in Finance or related field highly regarded
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
