Study and work is looking for Marketing Intern (Field Sales & Business Development) Location: Brisbane, QLD
Duration: 3-Month Internship
Work Schedule: 3 Days per Week (Onsite & Field-Based)
Internship Type: (commision on target and may transit to paid poisition looking at performance)
About the Opportunity A growing technology company in the hospitality industry is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Interns to join its team in Brisbane. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in field marketing, business development, client engagement, and B2B sales.
This opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience while building a strong foundation for a career in marketing and sales.
Key Responsibilities

  • Visit restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, and other hospitality businesses to introduce the company's software solutions.
  • Generate new business leads through field visits, networking, and referrals.
  • Schedule meetings and product demonstrations with prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Follow up with prospective clients via phone, email, and in person.
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to achieve business development targets.

Requirements

  • Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Marketing, Business, Management, Communications, IT, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident approaching and engaging with business owners.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable with travelling locally for client visits.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Previous customer service or sales experience is an advantage but not essential.
