Country Manager – Australia

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Country Manager – Australia to lead Bona’s Australian business and drive its next phase of sustainable and profitable growth.

This is a significant senior leadership opportunity, with the Country Manager acting as Managing Director of the Australian legal entity and having operational responsibility across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will lead the Australian team, drive commercial performance and work closely with APAC and global leadership to deliver Bona’s strategic priorities.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Country Manager – Australia to lead Bona’s Australian business and drive its next phase of sustainable and profitable growth.

This is a significant senior leadership opportunity, with the Country Manager acting as Managing Director of the Australian legal entity and having operational responsibility across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will lead the Australian team, drive commercial performance and work closely with APAC and global leadership to deliver Bona’s strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business and growth plans aligned with Bona’s global and APAC strategy.

• Drive revenue, gross margin and gross profit growth across the Australian business.

• Lead and develop the Pro Distribution and Retail Sales channels.

• Strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying new channels and growth opportunities.

• Develop and execute sales, marketing, pricing and key account strategies.

• Lead, coach and develop the Australian team, establishing clear goals, strategies and incentives.

• Oversee purchasing, logistics and inventory to support an efficient and effective operation.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement across the business.

• Ensure strong alignment with APAC and global stakeholders and maintain local legal compliance.

About you

We are looking for an accomplished senior leader who combines commercial acumen with strong general management capability.

You will ideally bring:

• Proven experience in Country Manager, Managing Director, General Manager or equivalent senior leadership roles.

• Strong P&L, financial and commercial management experience.

• A proven track record of delivering sustainable and profitable business growth.

• Experience leading multi-functional teams and achieving results through people.

• Strong strategic planning, decision-making and organisational skills.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.

• Strong international business understanding and the ability to operate effectively within an APAC/global environment.

• A university degree or equivalent experience.

Experience within flooring, building materials, construction products, manufacturing, adhesives, coatings, industrial products or related sectors would be advantageous.
