Parts Manager

We are seeking a Parts Managerto join our team at our Wacol premises in Brisbane.

The Role:

The Parts Manager role requires a person who is customer focused, self-motivated with an eye for detail, and results driven. The specific duties of the role include identifying and maximising parts sales opportunities, parts interpreting services, all warehousing duties, logistics and assistance in warranty claims of LiuGong machinery.

This position will work closely with all stakeholders including supply chain partners, internal departments (Sales and Product Support) and our Dealer network.

Key Responsibilities:

Communications

• Maintain internal contact to ensure market and Dealer activities are being discussed and all parts and aftersales activities are known.
• Keep abreast of developments in parts products and production jobs.
• Communicate with, interpret, and action enquiries in a timely fashion.
• Contact Dealers on a “semi” regular basis to obtain feedback, and provide information, e.g., Parts Program Orders updates, backordered parts ETAs.
• Contact suppliers for enquiries regarding availability, technical assistance and support, and price.

Customer Service and Parts Assistance

• Respond to Dealers parts enquiries professionally, promptly, and efficiently, ensuring our Dealers obtain the correct information for their particular parts enquiry.
• Monitor and keep informed of latest Parts programs, promotions, parts offer, and updates in order maximise our advantage.
• Ensure timely supply of parts and information as required for jobs processed through out workshop.
• Develop an understanding of all aspects of the Parts Department operation and functions, to assist in multi-skilling and support to co-workers.

Warehousing

• Regular review of all open sales orders and purchase orders to ensure parts supply is optimised.
• Receiving and checking the arrival of inventory supplies, freight forwarders and local suppliers.
• Ensure that accurate and prompt reporting is completed at all times.
• Stocktakes.
• Picking and packing orders for despatch, using the appropriate computer operating system.
• Recording product quality issues.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Extensive experience (minimum of 5 years’) in a parts related industry role.
• Customer service focused and aware of and concerned for the needs of the internal and external customers.
• Sound knowledge of the Construction industry (desirable).
• Knowledge of LiuGong products (highly desirable)
• Ability to work autonomously, with attention to detail, and as part of a wider team. Self-motivated, goal orientated and willing to take ownership and responsibility for own actions.
