The Maritime, Under Water Systems (UWS) team in Western Australia comprises a number of Customer Support Services based contracts and activities. These include Collins Class Submarine In Service Support (ISS) Contract for the Thales Sonar Suite (Scylla) and other support contracts.

Based in Rockingham, Western Australia, the Maintenance and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and preparedness of critical maintenance activities on the Collins Class Submarine Program. Additionally, by supporting warehousing and inventory activities, this role strengthens local capability, improves operational efficiency, and enhances alignment between Supply Support and Maintenance delivery teams, ensuring customer and internal contracted requirements are met.

KEY OUTCOMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Maintenance and Inventory Coordinator, you are responsible for:

• Development of near-term maintenance schedules with focus on activity preparedness, ensuring materials, specialty tooling and task job packs are prepared in adequate timeframes.
• Sourcing and coordination of maintenance resource requirements both scheduled and emergent.
• Coordinate and maintain maintenance dashboards, reports, mailboxes and databases.
• Maintain role responsibilities across program and customer business systems.
• Coordinate emergent ad hoc tasking processes, including the development of minor quotes and customer engagement.
• Act as the site Deputy Security Officer in support of sensitive freight handling and site access requirements.
• Provide warehouse support for stock movements, stocktaking and other related taskings.
• Develop project briefs and provide input to procedural and process updates.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within industrial, defence, manufacturing or similar asset intensive environments.
• Demonstrated experience in warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Project, with the ability to analyse and manage maintenance data effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Cert IV in a technical field or comparable demonstrated experience.
• NV1 Security Clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain.
• Experience in Defence SAP system desirable.
