About the role
The role of a Senior Medical Officer for the Opiate Substitution Treatment (OST) Program (Addiction Medicine) is to provide treatment for opiate addiction as part of a primary health care service within West Moreton Prison Health Services. You would be expected to provide clinical leadership within the OST team. This role will be based at Wacol, and you will work across all correctional facilities within West Moreton Health Service based on clinical need. You will also be involved in the clinical governance and procedures/policies for this program.

Mandatory Requirements
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Registration with AHPRA as a specialist (Addiction Medicine) OR a specialist (General Practice) with an interest in Addiction Medicine
- Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (FAChAM) OR Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
- All applicants must be Credentialed and awarded a Scope of Practice by West Moreton Hospital and Health
