About the Role
MiHaven Training is seeking an ICT Support Technician to provide technical support across its Cairns training environment. The successful candidate will diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues, maintain ICT equipment and assist staff and students with the effective use of systems and technology used in training and administration.

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity and peripheral equipment issues
- Provide technical support to trainers, administrative staff and other system users
- Install, configure and maintain computers, operating systems, applications and peripheral devices
- Determine hardware and software requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
- Support the reliable operation of ICT equipment used for classroom, administrative and online learning activities
- Troubleshoot access, connectivity, printing, application and user-account issues
- Configure and maintain workstations, printers, network-connected devices and related ICT equipment
- Assist with software installations, updates, security patches and system configuration
- Monitor common ICT issues and escalate complex network or system problems to appropriate technical providers where required
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues, equipment configurations, repairs and support activities
- Provide guidance to users on the effective and secure use of ICT systems and equipment
- Follow information security, privacy and workplace health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Networking or a related discipline
- Relevant experience of 1-2 years in ICT support, technical support, desktop support or a comparable role
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications and peripheral devices
- Practical experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Understanding of basic networking, user accounts, system access and information security practices
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise technical issues effectively
- Experience within an education, training or multi-user environment will be highly regarded
