Event Manager

The Event Manager will be responsible for the complete planning, promotion, coordination and delivery of all company events from start to finish, with a strong focus on achieving high attendance and delivering a professional experience for every guest.

The role requires a highly organised, proactive and confident individual who can take full ownership of each event. The Event Manager will manage attendee communications, including phone calls, emails, SMS messages, invitations, reminders, confirmations and follow-ups, before and after every event.

The Event Manager will also be responsible for managing registrations and attendee databases, preparing and sending bulk emails and SMS campaigns, and promotional materials, and actively working to maximise registrations and attendance.

The role includes coordinating venues, catering, speakers, suppliers, staff and volunteers, preparing run sheets and event schedules, welcoming guests and ensuring that every aspect of the event runs smoothly and professionally.

The successful candidate must be comfortable speaking publicly, hosting events and acting as MC when required.

A major responsibility of this position is maintaining regular communication with potential and registered attendees. The successful candidate must therefore be confident making a high volume of telephone calls and following up consistently by phone, email and SMS.

This is a hands-on, results-focused position. The Event Manager will be expected to take responsibility for each event from the initial planning stage through to post-event follow-up and continually look for ways to improve attendance, organisation and the overall guest experience.

Previous event management experience is essential. Experience in marketing, customer service, administration and event promotion is also required.
