We're seeking a passionate and hands-on Working Head Chef to lead our intimate kitchen operation. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a small, focused environment and takes pride in creating memorable, shareable food that brings people together.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily cooking operations as primary chef
- Design and execute a focused menu that works brilliantly in our intimate kitchen
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations including ordering, stock control, and food safety
- Train and supervise support staff during peak periods
- Collaborate with our venue manager on presentation and special events
- Maintain strong relationships with our local South East Queensland suppliers
About you
- 5+ years' experience in similar high-pace, small kitchen environments
- Proven ability to work efficiently and maintain quality with minimal support
- Excellence in organization, time management, and multitasking
- Strong eye for detail and presentation
- Physical stamina for hands-on cooking role
- Creative yet practical approach to menu planning
- More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role
