The successful applicant needs to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of, commitment to and support for the values and ethos of Catholic education and the mission of the Catholic Church.

• Foster positive and professional relationships with students, staff, families and the wider parish community.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of explicit instruction and the principles of the science of learning.
• Create a vibrant, inclusive and engaging learning environment where all students are valued, challenged and supported to achieve their potential.
• Implement effective student wellbeing strategies that promote positive relationships, student engagement and strong teacher–student connections.
• Use assessment data and evidence-informed practices to inform teaching, differentiate learning and enable ‘All Children to Achieve Success.’
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaborative planning, working flexibly and enthusiastically as part of a professional learning team.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of contemporary learning approaches, the Victorian Curriculum and inquiry-based learning.
• Use digital technologies and learning tools creatively and effectively to enhance student learning.

Special Requirements

• accredited to teach in a Catholic school or a willingness to achieve accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school;
• VIT registration
• be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
• capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
