About the Role

\n

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist within our ICU, you will provide expert clinical care and leadership, support patient outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will act as a clinical resource for nursing staff, mentor team members, and contribute to evidence-based practice within the unit.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Delivering advanced, patient-centred care to critically ill patients
\n
• Providing clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing colleagues
\n
• Promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
\n
• Assisting with staff education, coaching, and professional development
\n
• Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
\n
• Supporting a positive, safe, and high-performing team culture
\n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n

\n
• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
\n
• Minimum 4 years' post-graduate nursing experience, including significant ICU experience
\n
• Postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing (or working towards)
\n
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in intensive care nursing
\n
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
\n
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence
\n
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
\n
