OWNER DRIVER \n

Solutions are supplied to clients including some of the world's largest healthcare providers. ABOUT THE ROLE \n
Every service Smartways provides leads to a positive outcome for patients. To enable the best service possible and ensuring we make a difference to these patient lives, we are seeking an Owner Driver in Newcastle.
\n
Although it's a fast paced and varied no two days are the same, a typical day will see you:
\n
- \n
- Collect and deliver medical inventory on time and in full. \n
- Liaise and build relationships with customers (existing and new). \n
- Liaise and build relationships with other team members within Smartways. \n
- Proactively manage the return of loaned medical goods \n
- Prepare freight for transport via third parties into our wider Smartways network. \n
- Inspect, pick and pack customer orders with accuracy (when required) \n
- Hunt out opportunities to grow sales with both existing and new customers. \n
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR \n
Our ideal candidate will jump at every opportunity to deliver an excellent customer experience.
\n
You have exceptional knowledge of the Newcastle Metro areas and therefore know the most optimal route from pick-up to drop-off based on service type.
\n
You own a high roof 2 tonne van with Tail lift preferred (or willing to purchase Tail lift)
\n
You have excellent work ethic and understand the importance of working together as one team.
\n
You're comfortable with technology and know your way around a computer/ phone
\n
You've got excellent customer service skills and treat each job with great care
\n
Availability 7am till 7pm with average hours of 10-12 per day Mon-Fri
WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED? \n
Own a newer model high roof 2 tonne van white (or be prepared to purchase one)
\n
All insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo etc)
\n
A clean driver's license and criminal record
\n
Have the legal right to work in Australia
\n
Must be a PTY LTD Company (or willingness to get one)
\n
Owner Drivers only need apply. No Outside hire.
