About the Role \n

At Whiz Kidz Early Learning Centre & Preschool Castle Hill, we take pride in our strong relationships with families, supportive team culture and engaging learning programs.

We are looking for a qualified and NESA-accredited Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to take on a Toddler Room Leader position, working with up to 20 children aged 2–3 years per day.

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys working with toddlers. You will have the opportunity to use your professional knowledge and teaching expertise to create a high-quality, play-based learning environment while leading and mentoring your room team.

\n

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team, while having the autonomy to guide the educational direction of the room, develop meaningful learning experiences and build strong relationships with children, families and educators.

\n

This is a Full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating roster between 7:00am – 6:30pm.

In this role, you will: \n

• Develop and deliver a high-quality, play-based educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
\n
• Use your knowledge as an ECT to plan intentional and meaningful learning experiences that support each child's development
\n
• Build strong, secure and respectful relationships with children and their families
\n
• Lead, mentor and support the educators within your room
\n
• Guide the day-to-day flow of the room while maintaining a calm, engaging and nurturing environment
\n
• Observe, assess and document children's learning and developmentUse children's interests, strengths and individual needs to inform your planning and practice
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader and Centre Director to continuously strengthen educational practice
\n
• Build positive relationships with families and contribute to a strong sense of community within the centre
\n
• Support a strong culture of child safety, inclusion and wellbeing
\n

We’re Looking for an ECT Who Has: \n

\n
• A Bachelor or Masters qualification in Early Childhood Education, recognised by ACECQA
\n
• Current NESA accreditation/registration as an Early Childhood Teacher
\n
• Previous experience working with children aged 2–3 years
\n
• Experience leading a room or demonstrated ability to confidently lead and mentor a team
\n
• A strong understanding of the EYLF and contemporary early childhood practice
\n
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
\n
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• Confidence working collaboratively with educators, families and the leadership team
\n
• The ability to create a calm, positive and engaging learning environment
\n
• A strong understanding of child safety and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment
\n
• Current WWCC, Child Protection certificate, National Foundations Child Safety (Gecko) training, First Aid & Anaphylaxis certificates
\n
