Family Law Group Solicitors – Caboolture QLD

Family Law Group Solicitors is a Caboolture-based law firm focusing exclusively in the area of family law. We have a new opportunity for a Law Student to join our team. This is a flexible role that will suit an individual looking for an entry into a career in family law alongside their studies.

Key responsibilities

The Law Student role will primarily be responsible for:

General day to day office tasks including filing, scanning, mail, tidying

Scanning and digitizing of archive paper-based files into our cloud storage

Alongside those duties and after an initial probationary period we will also provide opportunities to learn:

Legal secretary/admin support for our director and solicitors

Preparation of letters, documents and Court forms

Transcribing/cleanup of dictations

Providing support at Court appearances and mediations

Assisting with reception such as greeting clients and in-person enquiries

Handling phone enquiries and outbound calls

Though it is not an immediate requirement to be available full-time during business hours, our goal is for the successful candidate to eventually transition to full-time hours as they develop in the role.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office programs

Fast and accurate typing skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Strong work ethic and a proven history of learning

Professional and friendly nature with clients and other staff

Remuneration for our Legal Support Team members is based on the Legal Services Award.
