An exciting opportunity exists to become the Live-in Manager of one of Armidale's well-established mid-sized motels.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in presentation and loves creating a great experience for guests. This isn't simply a caretaker role- we're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and help us build an outstanding regional accommodation business.

The motel is entering an exciting new chapter under new management, with significant investment planned in guest experience, presentation, technology and marketing over the coming years.

About the Role

\n

This is a permanent part-time position, generally averaging around 0.6FTE, combined with living onsite in the fully furnished manager's residence.

\n

The role offers a high degree of flexibility and autonomy. While there are naturally busy periods around guest arrivals and departures, modern systems and automation will progressively reduce administration, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent guest experiences and maintaining a well-presented property.

\n

The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced management team who will oversee finance, payroll, marketing, strategic planning, major purchasing and capital improvements.

\n

Your focus will simply be to make sure today's motel runs exceptionally well.

\n

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and delivering exceptional customer service.
\n
• Managing reservations, enquiries and guest communications.
\n
• Coordinating check-ins and check-outs.
\n
• Coordinating housekeeping and checking room presentation.
\n
• Maintaining high standards throughout the property.
\n
• Ordering day-to-day consumables and supplies.
\n
• Coordinating minor maintenance and contractors.
\n
• Responding professionally to guest enquiries and issues.
\n
• Helping identify opportunities to continually improve the guest experience.
\n

About You

\n

You'll likely have experience in hospitality, accommodation or customer service and enjoy working independently.

\n

• Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail.

Experience managing accommodation is advantageous but not essential. Personality, initiative and attitude are far more important.

The role may also suit a couple, with one person employed as the Motel Manager while the other pursues separate employment or provides occasional relief by agreement. This role will have a 6 month probationary period.
