About Byron Family Dental

Byron Family Dental is a privately owned, independent practice in Byron Bay.

We’re a small, experienced team who genuinely enjoy working together and take pride in providing thoughtful, high-quality dental care to our patients.

Our patient base is well established, with a mix of long‑term local families, regular patients, new patients and emergency dentistry. The practice continues to grow, and we’re looking for another dentist to help meet that demand.

We have invested in modern technology, including 3Shape digital scanning and Sirona CBCT/OPG, and offer a broad range of general and advanced dentistry.

Dr Josh Boag has 11 years’ experience, with further training in dental implants and surgical extractions and a particular interest in oral surgery. Josh has owned Byron Family Dental since 2019, the practice was previously named Terry Potts Dental. There is opportunity for collaboration and mentorship in these areas for a dentist who is interested in developing their skills.

The role

We are ideally looking for a dentist to work around 4 days per week, however we are flexible for the right person and are happy to discuss different days and hours depending on your experience, availability and what you’re looking for.

You’ll have a strong existing patient base to work from, while also having the opportunity to build your own patient following within the practice.

The role would suit a dentist who is confident across general dentistry, enjoys developing long‑term relationships with patients and is looking for a practice where they can settle in and become part of the team.

About you

We’re looking for a dentist who:

• Has 2+ years’ experience as a General Dentist

• Is confident across the core areas of general dentistry

• Has current unrestricted AHPRA registration

• Has professional indemnity insurance

• Communicates well and builds strong relationships with patients

• Takes pride in their clinical work

• Is personable, reliable and enjoys being part of a team

• Is interested in building a long‑term position within an independent practice

We’re open to different levels of experience and clinical interests. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is a good fit for our team and the way we work.

Remuneration

Commission‑based remuneration, tailored to experience and clinical skill, will be discussed with suitable applicants.
