Job Description

CASUAL Computer-based exam Invigilator

Looking for bright, friendly and professional casual staff for computer-based English Language tests in Southport QLD. All training will be provided. There is no fixed roster, although we do our best to provide regular sessions.

Exam sessions are usually 3.5 - 4 hours long, with both morning and afternoon sessions. Ideally, invigilators would be available for a minimum of 3 sessions per week.

Ideal role for university students, but all are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to adhere to test day regulations and procedures
• Sound working knowledge of English
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of both test procedures and candidate information
• Professional presentation
• Sound customer service and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of de-escalation techniques
• Awareness and understanding of cultural issues
• Competent computer skills
• Right to work in Australia
• Eligibility for Blue Card (Working with Children)

Desirable criteria:

• Current or previous certification as Pearson TA and/or TOEFL iBT TCA
• Experience as an invigilator or supervisor of formal exams
