2026 is set to be a huge year. Our store network is expanding, our customer experience is evolving, and we're growing towards 700 stores. Behind the scenes, our Store Support Centre is laying the foundations for this transformation, and our People & Culture team is right at the centre of it.

We're looking for an HR Operations Lead to lead our Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advisory centre. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support leaders across more than 415 stores, four distribution centres and our Store Support Centre, while leading and developing a small HR Advisory team. This role is based in our Kensington Store Support Centre.

What you'll be doing

\n

\n
• Leading the Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advisory service, delivering timely, consistent and legally sound advice and end-to-end support on misconduct, performance, grievances, probation and everything in between, supported by a tiered model, clear response standards and escalation pathways.
\n
• Supporting leaders through people processes, preparing documentation and approaches that ensure matters are managed consistently, fairly and defensibly while empowering leaders to own conversations and decisions.
\n
• Identifying trends and corrective actions through case data analysis, recognising opportunities by site, region, leader and root cause, and partnering with Operations, Partnering, Safety & Asset Protection and Payroll to drive sustainable improvements.
\n
• Providing expert industrial relations support, including Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation, bargaining support, and day-to-day engagement with unions and employee representatives.
\n
• Leading internal investigations, including matters arising from Safety & Asset Protection activity, while maintaining procedural fairness and robust investigation standards.
\n
• Delivering project work across HR Operations, including process redesign, policy and template refreshes, systems improvements, reporting enhancements and initiatives supporting the transition to Dollarama Australia.
\n
• Leading and developing two HR Advisors, building capability and supporting the ongoing growth of the advisory function.

What you'll bring

\n

\n
• Strong ER and IR experience in a multi-site environment, ideally within retail, hospitality or another award-covered industry.
\n
• Confidence interpreting Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, and managing claims through the Fair Work Commission.
\n
• A generalist HR background, with experience across the employee lifecycle rather than solely employee relations.
\n
• Genuine stakeholder management capability, with the ability to influence, challenge and support operational leaders while maintaining strong working relationships.
\n
• Experience leading or coaching others, with a focus on capability building and team development.
\n
• Comfort working within ambiguity and change, with the flexibility and resilience to help shape a function that continues to evolve.
