HR Manager
Join a well established, family owned business with 50 years of history and a strong reputation for long term employees and customer relationships. The business continues to grow year on year, with eight locations across Western Australia.
This is a hands on, stand alone, people focused HR role with the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of HR responsibilities.
The successful person will work closely with management, payroll and the wider team to improve HR processes, implement policies and procedures, and help drive a payroll system update.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the business through a payroll system update and helping drive the project through to completion.
Managing onboarding and employee processes.
Keeping HR projects and initiatives on track.
Providing practical, hands-on HR support to managers and employees.
Supporting employee relations and maintaining strong workplace relationships.
Ensuring HR processes remain consistent across multiple locations.
Assisting with award interpretation and compliance, particularly the Retail Award.
Helping improve and maintain HR systems and processes as the business continues to grow.
Travelling between locations when required.
You don't need to be the most experienced HR professional in the market. We're looking for someone who is practical, personable and confident enough to take ownership.
You will ideally have:
Experience in a generalist HR, People & Culture or similar role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A hands-on and practical approach.
The ability to build relationships across a diverse workforce.
Excellent organisation and project management skills.
Confidence working independently and taking initiative.
Strong IT skills and an ability to learn and implement new systems.
Experience with onboarding and policy development.
An understanding of employment awards, ideally including the Retail Award.
The flexibility to travel between locations when required.
A genuine interest in people and creating positive employee experiences.
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Office-based role with the flexibility to work from home a couple of days per week.
Flexible start and finish times.
The business generally finishes at 4:30pm, with operations starting as early as 6:00am.
Travel between sites may be required.
