Unique opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Field Service team based from our Kalgoorlie workshop. In this permanent role with a global engine manufacturer, you will be part of a high-performing team specialising in engine maintenance and repairs across client sites throughout the Goldfields region. This opportunity is available FIFO from Perth on a 2:1 roster or locally based in Kalgoorlie.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Work on critical mining projects

• Fleet maintenance

• Fault diagnostics

• Engine repairs both major and minor

• Work with other major OEM’s such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr etc

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)

• Previous field service experience servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)

• Solid diagnostic, electronic and IT capabilities

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a great team environment

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Education: Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution. Apprentice Trained Engine Technician preferred.

• Licenses/Certifications: Locally valid driving permit. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

• Experience: Basic level field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Customer service experience.
