About the Team \n

The Future State Modelling team supports the agency with major workforce changes and future planning. The team uses data, modelling and analysis to understand future workforce needs and help the agency plan how to get there.
\n The team provides workforce forecasts, different scenarios and analysis to support important business decisions. It brings together technical, analytical and strategic skills to solve complex workforce challenges and develop better ways of working.

About the Role \n

The Senior Data Technician provides technical leadership across workforce modelling, forecasting and analytics.
\n The role involves designing, developing and improving modelling and analytical solutions that support workforce planning and reform. The successful candidate will work with complex workforce, policy and operational information and turn it into practical, reliable tools and insights to support decision-making.
\n The role also focuses on building the capability of the wider team through mentoring, knowledge sharing and developing consistent technical standards and processes.

• Design, develop and maintain workforce modelling, forecasting and analytical solutions.
\n
• Turn complex workforce, policy and operational issues into practical and reliable technical solutions.
\n
• Use Microsoft and other approved technology to develop modelling and analytical tools.
\n
• Apply strong technical, development and problem-solving skills to complex projects.
\n
• Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, testing and quality assurance processes.
\n
• Ensure modelling and analytical products are accurate, reliable, transparent and easy to maintain.
\n
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to team members.
\n
• Share knowledge and help build the technical and analytical skills of the team.
\n
• Develop reusable solutions and consistent modelling practices.
\n
• Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver practical outcomes.
\n
• Identify and manage risks within their area of responsibility.
\n

You Must Have \n

\n
• Strong experience in data, analytics, workforce modelling, forecasting or a similar technical field.
\n
• Advanced technical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining analytical or modelling solutions.
\n
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to turn complex problems into practical solutions.
\n
• Experience working with Microsoft tools and enterprise technology.
\n
• Experience with technical documentation, testing, quality assurance and governance.
\n
• The ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting other team members.
\n
• The ability to work effectively in a changing environment and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
\n

• $602.55/Daily (excluding super)
