Job description
Are you an experienced Theatre Registered Nurse looking for your next regional contract opportunity? Troocoo Healthcare is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses with Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetic experience for a contract placement within a busy Operating Theatre department in Mackay. This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy Queensland's beautiful Central Coast while gaining valuable experience within a large regional hospital environment.

Position Details
- Position: Registered Nurse Grade 5
- Specialty: Operating Theatre
- Location: Mackay
- Contract: 14.09.2026 - 31.10.2026
- Roster: Rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts
- Hours: Maximum 80 hours per fortnight, Overtime payable after 80 hours per fortnight.
Essential Experience
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Recent Operating Theatre experience
- Scrub/Scout experience
- Anaesthetic experience
- Ability to work within a fast-paced perioperative environment
Highly Regarded Previous experience with
- ieMR
- Regional hospital environments
- Queensland healthcare facilities
- Perioperative nursing services
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Manual & Patient Handling
- Infection Control & Hand Hygiene
- Medication Management
- Occupational Violence Prevention Training
- Mandatory Reporting Training
- Current National Police Check
- Relevant vaccination evidence
Successful candidates must also be willing to undertake
- Online induction training
- Electronic Medical Record training
- Additional mandatory training as required
