Welders, Fabricators, & Brake Press Operators \n
Our client who is a leader in the manufacturing of high-quality timber and metal doors for residential and commercial projects is seeking Welders, Fabricators, and Brake Press Operators for their facility in Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs.

- Fabricate, assemble and weld thin gauge metal components to various specifications as required from relevant detailed drawings \n
- MIG and TIG light gauge steel 1.1mm to 3mm – Zincaneal, Galvabond, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel \n
- Grind and clean all steel, polish stainless Steel \n
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet required standards and structural integrity \n
- Adjust components where necessary using a grinder or other cutting tools \n
- Fit components using jigs \n
- General jobbing work fitting special hardware \n
- Read and understand workshop drawings \n
- Fabrication of profile lengths using bending and cutting machinery \n
- Identify different material types and thicknesses \n
- Conduct quality control checks on own Work \n
- Complete required paperwork \n
- Work within tolerance; ensure quality in the product \n
- Maintaining production levels as required \n

Brake Press Operator Key Responsibliities:
\n
- \n
- Assembling and adjusting components using hand and power tools \n
- Operating machinery such as Beam Saws, hand routers, hand tools and power tools \n
- Fitting components accurately based on job orders \n
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings \n
- Identifying material types \n
- Working to hourly targets and KPIs \n
- Conducting quality checks on your own work \n
- Perform basic equipment maintenance \n
- Keep your work area clean and safe \n
\n
Experience & Skills Required:
\n
- \n
- Sheet metal or equivalent work experience \n
- Welding experience \n
- Sound written and verbal communication skills \n
- Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square \n
- Must be able to set the welding machine \n
\n
