At Property Compliance Australia (PCA), we help keep homes and families safe by providing smoke alarm and property compliance services to some of the biggest names in the real estate industry.
As we continue to grow, a new opportunity existsfor a field technician to join our Cairns team. You’ll visit residential properties to test smoke alarms helping protect people and their homes.

Test and maintain smoke alarms to ensure properties meet compliance standards
Work independently with all jobs scheduled for you
Deliver exceptional service to property managers and tenants
Use company‑provided tools, vehicle, and technology to complete your work efficiently
We’re seeking candidates based in Cairns and surrounding suburbs who have:
A friendly, approachable personality and good communication skills
The ability to use modern technology (we’ll teach you the rest!)
Confidence to climb ladders safely during your daily checks
The ability to work independently while knowing support is just a call away
Previous experience in a technical or customer service role (helpful, but not essential)
