They are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to play a key role in payroll operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This professional and flexible payroll function is well suited to an experienced specialist who is seeking a rewarding and challenging end-to-end senior role. Based in the Inner Suburbs of Brisbane, they have a fantastic office space situated in an ideal location. The Role \n

This 6 -month Contract will be suitable for an immediately available or soon to be immediately available Senior Payroll Officer, who will report directly to the Payroll Manager. This role has the potential to be extended.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To \n

• Oversee and process end-to-end payroll for around 500 employees across monthly and fortnightly pay cycles.
\n
• Supervise and mentor Payroll Officers, acting as a subject matter expert on complex payroll matters.
\n
• Ensure accurate recording and processing of timesheets, leave entitlements, and employee benefits.
\n
• Interpret and apply awards and enterprise agreements (EA) to payroll calculations.
\n
• Maintain compliance with tax, superannuation, and other payroll-related obligations.
\n
• Provide insights and reporting on payroll costs, retention, transfers, and WorkCover.
\n
• Assist HR and Finance teams with payroll queries and process enhancements.
\n
• Drive process improvement initiatives and support payroll system upgrades.
\n
• Act as a payroll lead for company projects and system integrations.
\n

Skills And Experience \n

• Minimum 5 years of end-to-end payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax, superannuation, and compliance requirements.
\n
• Previous experience using a variety of payroll systems
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and remote teams.
\n
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
\n
