PremiAir is a fast-growing Hire/Service company that specialises in the hire, service and sales of air compressors, generators, lighting towers, message boards, pumps and traffic management equipment as well as providing on-site diesel refuelling services. About the Role
PremiAir has a permanent full-time position available for a hardworking and reliable Tilt Tray Driver to join our busy team in our Newcastle (Thornton) depot.
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the main responsibility of the role is to deliver/collect equipment to site for our customers on a daily basis. When not driving the Tilt Tray, the candidate will be required to operate the fuel truck to conduct onsite refuelling.
Duties
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Drive Tilt Tray for deliveries and collection of rental equipment
Place rental equipment on sites as per instructions
Set up / pack up of equipment at customer sites as required
Liaise with hire controllers and customers in daily activities
Equipment off hire returned process and preparation ready for hire
Driving utes and other trucks for delivery and collection of equipment as required
Driving fuel trucks to conduct onsite refuelling activities as required
Must be available to work on a rotating after-hours, on-call roster
Skills and Experience
You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an"I will make it happen"attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A valid Forklift licence and White Card is required
HR license is essential to be considered for this position
Excellent driving record and safety focused and has previous experience making deliveries and towing/reversing trailers or equipment.
Must have knowledge of Greater Newcastle Region
Prior experience operating a fuel truck will be highly regarded.
Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised and pays attention to detail
Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work and has a great work ethic
Is reliable and punctual and has excellent work ethics
Is focused on providing the best service to our customers
Is capable of performing physical activities
Can work overtime, including weekends when needed
Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicants will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to assist the business in the next phase of growth.
