EIR Labour Hire is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Fitter & Turner to join a long-standing metal manufacturing team in Chermside. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll assist with the site's maintenance program while also carrying out routine jobbing, machining and fitting work.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-3:30pm | Fri 7:00am-1:00pm

What You'll Be Doing
\n

- Assist with planned and preventative maintenance across the site \n
- Carry out routine jobbing and general fitting work \n
- Perform equipment inspections, servicing and minor repairs \n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues \n
- Operate manual lathes and milling machines \n
- Machine and fabricate components as required \n
- Use cutting, drilling and pressing equipment \n
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders \n
- Complete general workshop duties \n
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment \n

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- Trade qualification in Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Fitting or Machining preferred \n
- Previous fitting, machining or maintenance experience \n
- Experience with manual lathes and milling machines \n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability \n
- Confident with routine jobbing and workshop work \n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings \n
- Reliable, safety-conscious and team-focused \n
