Materials Handler - Immediate Start
Metal 21 is seeking a skilled Materials Handler to join our team in Salisbury, QLD. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our warehousing and distribution facility, ensuring the effective movement, storage, and handling of various materials and goods.
What you'll be doing
- Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move and store inventory
- Picking, packing, and loading outgoing orders for distribution
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stock management processes
- Assisting with the organisation and upkeep of the warehouse environment
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a materials handling or warehousing role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Forklift licence and experience operating material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions, as well as the initiative to work independently
