Job Description

The JBS Northern Shipping & Docs team is currently seeking a passionate administrator to join the team as a Documentation Officer. Based at our Northern Operations head office in Riverview, Ipswich, and reporting to the Documentation Manager, you will be responsible for accurately completing shipping documentation for various markets and vessels. This includes preparing forwarding instructions, obtaining original Bills of Lading and health certificates, preparing invoices and packing lists, arranging Certificates of Origin, managing banking drafts and lodgements, processing Letters of Credit, and printing Bills of Lading for shipping lines managed in-house.

You will also be responsible for completing any additional documentation required to meet customer or country-specific requirements, writing up ship files as allocated by the Documentation Supervisor, monitoring vessel ETDs and emailing completed documentation to customers while coordinating lodgements. A key focus of the role is ensuring all files are completed and archived within 14 days of sailing. The position will also involve providing support with other ad hoc duties as directed by the Documentation Manager.
