Job Description

Environmental Health Officer (Public Health Unit) - Perm FT

\n

Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or other environmental health/management qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.

\n

Knowledge and experience applying NSW public health and environmental health legislation, including investigations, evidence gathering and regulatory decision‐making.

\n

Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage environmental health risks across a range of settings.

\n

Possess strong communication skills, including preparing clear reports, briefs and correspondence for senior staff.

\n

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team while managing deadlines and responding to emerging issues.

\n

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
