Duties

\n

• Ensure safe, cost-effective and reliable deliveries to retail, commercial and mining customers throughout Mackay, the Bowen Basin and wider Central Queensland region.
\n
• Meet and exceed customer expectations through exceptional service delivery.
\n
• Ensure optimum fleet utilisation and delivery configurations are maintained.
\n
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, drivers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all incidents, hazards and concerns are reported and managed in accordance with company procedures.
\n
• Lead by example and actively promote Hills Tankers' culture and values, fostering a positive and safety-focused workplace.
\n
• Support the scheduling team with daily operational requirements and provide leave coverage where required.
\n
• Work closely with other Hills Tankers depots to deliver strategic transport solutions and service consistency across the network.
\n
• Monitor depot performance, productivity and compliance to ensure operational targets are achieved.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n

\n
• Previous fleet allocation and transport operations experience.
\n
• Sound geographical knowledge of Mackay, Central Queensland and the Bowen Basin mining regions.
\n
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
\n
• Highly developed organisational, planning and time management skills.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to lead teams, delegate effectively and drive accountability.
\n
• Strong computer literacy and experience using transport management and scheduling systems.
\n
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance and customer service excellence.
\n
