Electric Car Sales Manager for Chery, Lepas, GAC, Leapmotor and Zeekr
Ready to sell the future? We're expanding across Sydney with new showrooms in Alexandria, Parramatta, and Hornsby, and we represent five leading EV brands: Chery, Lepas, GAC, Leapmotor, and Zeekr.
We're looking for passionate sales professionals to join our team. You'll be placed at one of our showrooms based on business needs, with the opportunity to work across different brands and locations over time. Full training provided on all models. If you love cars and love connecting with people, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
Leadership & Team Performance
- Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of Sales Consultants to consistently exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets.
- Conduct daily sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Recruit, mentor and develop future sales leaders.
- Set clear KPIs and hold the team accountable for sales performance, customer experience, finance penetration and daily activity.
- Foster a positive, accountable and high-performance culture through strong leadership and by leading from the front.
- Drive daily sales performance while maintaining strong profitability and gross margins.
- Analyse sales reports, conversion rates, pipeline performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Work closely with Finance & Insurance, Vehicle Delivery, Marketing and After Sales teams to deliver a seamless ownership experience.
- Lead dealership events, product launches and promotional campaigns.
Customer Experience & Operations
- Oversee the complete customer journey from enquiry through to vehicle delivery, stepping in to manage key customer relationships as required.
- Monitor CRM activity to ensure timely follow-up of all enquiries, appointments, test drives and customer communications.
- Assist with vehicle stock management, allocation and inventory planning.
- Maintain premium showroom presentation and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies.
- Build long-term customer relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager within a franchised automotive dealership.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales, profitability and customer satisfaction targets.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and team development skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and drive performance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using dealership CRM systems and reporting platforms.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- A current Motor Dealer Licence (or the ability to obtain one).
