Ashfield Little Bunnies Day Care Centre is a long day care service in Ashfield, NSW, providing education and care for children from birth to school age. We are a small, close-knit team focused on quality care, strong family relationships and a warm learning environment.

The role

We are seeking a full-time Child Care Worker to join our team permanently, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within centre operating hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting children in daily activities, indoor and outdoor play, and rest periods
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational programs consistent with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
• Attending to the physical needs of children, including feeding, nappy changing, toileting and hygiene
• Monitoring and maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times
• Observing and recording children’s development and contributing to individual learning documentation
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, and communicating with parents about their child’s day and progress
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting the implementation of centre policies and procedures, including child protection and behaviour guidance

Skill & Experience

About you:

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher), or currently working towards it
• A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement)
• Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• A genuine interest in the care and development of young children
