Reosteel is one of Australia's fastest-growing steel fabrication companies. Australian-owned and ACRS-certified, we manufacture and supply reinforcing steel, rebar, mesh, and reinforcement accessories to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects from advanced manufacturing facilities in NSW and the ACT, certified to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. We are about to open in two more capital cities, taking Reosteel from a strong east-coast operator to a national steel fabricator. We are privately owned and built for the long term.

The role

\n

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the executive leadership team, you will own Reosteel's finance function end-to-end. This is a build-and-run mandate, not a reporting seat. You will fund and control a multi-site manufacturing business through its most important growth phase: treasury and banking for a working-capital-intensive operation, costing and margin discipline across every site, the business cases and funding for the next two facilities, and the people, systems and controls a national business runs on.

You will

• Lead the finance team and deliver monthly reporting, board packs and rolling forecasts to the CEO
\n
• Manage cash, working capital and inventory across sites, including steel purchasing, FX and commodity exposure and trade finance facilities
\n
• Own banking and funding relationships, and lead debt structuring, asset finance and capital raising for the new facilities
\n
• Build and defend the business cases for expansion: site economics, capex approval, ramp-up tracking and post-investment review
\n
• Drive costing, pricing and margin management across scheduling, fabrication, distribution and contract work
\n
• Strengthen governance across tax, audit, statutory compliance, insurance, internal controls and delegations, and lead the ERP and finance systems roadmap so every site reports the same way

About you

\n

\n
• CA or CPA qualified, with a track record as CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance in steel, fabrication, manufacturing, building materials or distribution
\n
• Experienced in multi-site operations, ideally including standing up a new site or region
\n
• Strong in treasury and funding: bank relationships, working capital and asset finance, and growth capital for large capex
\n
• Fluent in costing, inventory and margin analysis, and able to turn plant and yard data into decisions
\n
• At home in a privately owned business: hands-on, quick to decide, and comfortable working directly with the CEO
\n
• Experience leading an ERP or finance systems implementation
