Join Holstep Health as a Grade 1 Physiotherapist and kick-start your career in community health. Working across our Holstep Health clinic sites, you will provide person-centred physiotherapy to older adults, supporting their mobility, independence and quality of life.

\n

You will work with clients funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), which takes a wellness and reablement approach focused on supporting older adults to achieve their goals, maintain independence and maximise their participation in everyday life.

\n

You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and confidence through structured supervision, mentoring, professional development and support from experienced physiotherapists. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based physiotherapy including assessment, treatment, exercise and mobility support in a 1:1 and group-based setting.

\n

With tailored clinical and operational support, you will progressively develop your skills and autonomy while building valuable networks and experience for a rewarding career in community health.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

\n

\n
• -Providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment and management for older adults with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological conditions.
\n
• -Supporting clients to achieve their goals and maintain or improve their mobility, function, independence and participation in everyday activities.
\n
• - Assessing mobility and gait, prescribing appropriate gait aids and supporting equipment applications and ordering where required.
\n
• - Planning and delivering individual and group exercise programs to improve mobility, strength and functional capacity.
\n
• - Completing holistic assessments and identifying when referral to other allied health and community services is appropriate.
\n
• - Providing clear education and health information to clients and carers, adapting communication to different health literacy, language and cultural needs.
\n
• - Developing agreed care plans with clients and carers and supporting appropriate follow-up and discharge planning.
\n
• - Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, client records and required funding and service data.
\n
• - Participating in supervision, reflective practice, professional development, and team meetings.
\n
• -Working closely with Allied Health Assistants (AHAs), Exercise Physiologists (EPs) and other allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, client-centred care.
\n
• - Contributing to a positive multidisciplinary team culture

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

\n

\n
• - Degree in Physiotherapy and current full AHPRA registration.
\n
• - Australian Working Rights.
\n
• - Clinical experience in musculoskeletal and/or aged care physiotherapy, gained through student placements or professional practice as a physio.
\n
• - Understanding of community health and physiotherapy within the broader health system.
\n
• - Understanding of health challenges associated with ageing.
\n
• - Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• - Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying health literacy.
\n
• - Strong time management, organisation and outcome-focused approach.
\n
• - Ability to work under supervision and develop increasing autonomy.
\n
• - Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
\n
• - Community health placement experience and/or a second language highly regarded
